Gracefully bringing in a soothing touch of green into one’s home

Displayed at Milan Design Week 2022, France-based furniture Designer Alexandre Labruyère crafts ‘Bettoïa’ – a stunning wooden vase with soft elegant lines, whose main function is to effortlessly bring nature into one’s living spaces.

Beautifully named after his great-grandmother – he wanted to pay homage to her for the first object he created.

“Wooden vases are simply alluring but how do you bring them the grace that glass vases give to a plant? Make the entire natural element visible, sublimate it from the petal to the almost root? – it’s from this principle that Bettoia was born, the first product in my collection”  says Labruyère.

Fabricated on demand in oak, sycamore or ash carefully selected from the Hauts-de-France region in finishes from matte natural oil to charcoal dye – its function responds to the increasingly significant need to reconnect with natural environments, represented here by dried flowers.

Allowing one to effortlessly personalize their indoor meadow as the designer likes to call it – the varying sizes of this minimalistic object with a warm Scandinavian aesthetic seamlessly adapts to all rooms in a home and lets one skilfully highlight the tallest stems.

“The flowers brilliantly invite themselves inside, the stem is revealed and the meadow organically takes shape” Labruyère adds.

Additionally, the eclectic one-of-a-kind deep black and smoked finishes are the result of a collaboration with Galerie Virginie Lesage and are exclusive to it.
