The highly anticipated finalists of the SBID International Design Awards 2019 have now been revealed.\n\n\n\nAmongst the impressive number of contenders this year, finalists include world renowned practices such as G.A group, Concorde BGW Group, Scott Browrigg and Clive Wilkinson Architects. \n\n\n\nNotable projects include: \n\n\n\nSJP by Sarah Jessica ParkerRHS GardenRedbull OfficesWarner Music GroupHiltonBelmondMandarin OrientalInterContinental and more\n\n\n\nAra Design Hotel Public Space Finalist and SBID members. Andaz Hotel Liverpool Street.\n\n\n\nEntries were received from 48 countries \n\n\n\nIncluding the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Qatar, Poland, Barbados, Monaco, Japan, Indonesia, Brazil, Australia and more. \n\n\n\nFinalists were selected by a technical panel of judges in the first stage of the process. \n\n\n\nThe public are now invited to vote for their favourite projects at www.sbidawards.com which will account for 30% of the final results. \n\n\n\nSpeaking about the finalists, Founder and CEO of SBID, Dr Vanessa Brady OBE says: \n\n\n\n"The SBID International Design Awards continue to grow from strength to strength with more submissions received, more countries represented and this year we have an additional category. \n\n\n\nIt is known across the design industry as the premier design award to win and for that, we are quite rightly very proud to present it, as much as our entrants are to win it."\n\n\n\nLast year saw one of the most globally represented editions to date with an astounding 225,000 unique voters during the voting period. \n\n\n\nSBID award categories cover all aspects of interior design including: \n\n\n\nRetail, Public SpaceHealthcare & Wellbeing DesignResidentialVisualisationClubs & Bars and RestaurantsOffice Spaces and Hotel Design\n\n\n\nKinnersley Kent Design Peggy Porschen Chelsea\n\n\n\nThe SBID Awards were recently accredited as the first interior design awards scheme to achieve GOLD standard by The Independent Awards Standards Council and were commended as \u201cexemplar in how awards should be operated\u201d. \n\n\n\nConsidered as one of the most prestigious accolades in interior design by the best in the industry, the SBID International Design Awards are awarded purely on the quality of the design, innovation, aesthetic and value-added to the project.\n\n\n\nEach entry undergoes an exhaustive two-tier judging process by panels of leading industry experts for both technical content and aesthetic creativity.\n\n\n\nEvaluating essential elements such as compliance with the brief, budget, health & safety and fit-for-purpose design. \n\n\n\nThis year brings brand new Creative Directors to the esteemed panel of judges from brands such as: \n\n\n\nNikeMAC Cosmetics Universal Studios Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and Foundation \n\n\n\nThe Judges decisions is then finalised by a third tier online public vote, where all finalists\u2019 designs are judged by the public, this avoids any disputes between Judges and prevents dual winners. \n\n\n\nRestaurant Design Finalist Idea International, Bulgaria\n\n\n\nPublic voting will close on Monday 9th September at 5.00pm (UK time) \n\n\n\nClick here to see all shortlisted projects and cast your vote. \n\n\n\nConsistent in its quest to recognise, reward and celebrate global interior design, this year\u2019s edition is intended to be bigger and better than ever with the addition of SBID\u2019s 10th anniversary celebrations and a captivating ceremony planned at the event\u2019s new venue: Grosvenor House in London on Friday 25 October. \n\n\n\nThe winners will be announced and awarded with a bespoke crystal trophy designed by Sans Souci Glass Deco. \n\n\n\nAn overall winner will also be awarded for the project that gains the most votes overall from the judge\u2019s choices and the public votes combined. \n\n\n\nAll winners and finalists will be featured in the Global Interior Design 2019 book which is distributed to over 1000 professionals across the globe and available to purchase on the SBID Awards website. \n\n\n\nAAID Retail Design finalists and SBID members.
