Working in the right place can boost your creativity and design business

At DesignWanted we believe that sometimes, to see things clearly, turning on the right lights is all it takes.

Those in the know go to Tortona district to take in some of the best design and architecture in the city of Milan, Italy.

Milanese go there looking for the hippest spot around and the most art-forward neighborhood.

Milan’s fashion and design world insiders have chosen to have their homes and headquarters in those very blocks where 20 years ago there were just few industrial buildings and sparse houses.

Tortona runs fast, and demands smart visitors and minds.

It is no surprise that a young and flexible reality as Copernico chose to have a place for their own at Tortona 33, where the co-working company boasts a beautiful location for meetings and events.

Managing a surface of 50.000 sqm overall in Milan, Turin, Rome and Bruxelles and hosting nearly 700 companies, Copernico stimulates creativity and sharing through space design: 2.400 professionals daily use its spaces to work within a diverse business community where start-ups and companies from around the world live in close contact and meet in social areas and events.

We went there with Caracol, a dynamic trio of young digital artisans pushing the boundaries of manufacturing between an ageless tradition and the ultimate development in 3d printing, with the purpose of creating beautiful unique pieces of home interior.

We went there looking for one of the best things Caracol and Copernico have in common, a flexible space to work and build something: Caracol produces in tiny nests all over the world, remotely and upon request only, and Copernico knows a lot about temporary spaces.

We went there looking for a simple setting for a simple story to tell: Caracol lamps make a sophisticated collection of scenic lights inspired by nature and born from a new vision of heritage, whose sinuous curves adapts easily to any specific scenario.

A shared vision of beauty without frill and of freedom of movement turned the purpose of shooting Caracol lamps at Copernico venue into an occasion to make things happen in a new, smart way.

At DesignWanted we believe that sometimes, to see things clearly, turning on the right lights is all it takes.
