Talk presentation by Gisella Borioli, Owner-CEO Superstudio Group and Official Ambassador Italian Design Day in Osaka\n\n\n\n\u201cThis year, Italian Design Day presented as theme initiative by Italian Institute of Culture of Osaka strengthens in the name of relevance and concreteness, the bond with Milan Design Week and with the City of Milan, thanks to the participation of Gisella Borioli and of Superstudio Group. \n\n\n\nThe participation turns out to\nbe even more significant in light of the institutional attention that the\nMunicipality of Osaka assigned to host EXPO\n2025 and the Municipality of Milan, sister cities, have offered this phase\non the subject of Italian design inside the artistic and creative show Milano Genius by our Institute\u201d Stefano\nFossati Director of Italian Institute of Culture of Osaka.\n\n\n\nGisella Borioli, Owner-CEO of Superstudio Group and creator of the international event dedicated to contemporary design SUPERDESIGN SHOW, nominated Design Ambassador for Osaka city, presents the case history of SUPERSTUDIO, international hub born in Milan in 1983 that has been the boost for the redevelopment of a whole district of the city.\n\n\n\nThe conference is divided in three parts: \n\n\n\nSUPERSTUDIO and the Tortona District in Milan\n\n\n\nA case history studied all over the world as an example of cultural and economical rebirth of an entire area, that was once suburban and is now fashion&design district. \n\n\n\nThe phenomenon of the FuoriSalone entrenched into a district and SUPERDESIGN SHOW with top international design. \n\n\n\nSUPERSTUDIO LOVES JAPAN\n\n\n\nMany brands, designers and architects from Japan have exhibited at SUPERDESIGN SHOW, between tradition and innovation. \n\n\n\nA journey through the most spectacular installations (speech by Chiara Ferella Falda, Director of Communication and Special Projects of Superstudio). \n\n\n\nTAKE A SEAT\n\n\n\nA project born in collaboration with Asian Studies Group, Institute of Culture Osaka and SUPERSTUDIO: the iconic chair of design, an idea for a cross contest Milan-Osaka, with final exhibition at SUPERDESIGN SHOW of Milan (9th -14th April).
