Les Puces du Designs was the first European market exclusively dedicated to furniture from the post-war era.
Created in 1999 by founder Fabien Bonillo, who was then one of only 15 merchants in France specializing in furniture from the 50s to the 70s.
He wanted to share his passion for design at a time when the vintage word was known only to wine lovers and some fashion enthusiasts!
The first edition of the Puces du Design was only one day long and gathered a dozen participants.
However it was widely supported by the press and, carried by the enthusiasm of a curious audience, a second edition took place later that same year.
The event quickly gathered momentum, attracting major personalities from the French vintage design scene, later joined by European gallery owners and in 2007, specialists in vintage fashion.
In 2016 the show once again evolved, welcoming new young exhibitors from the world of contemporary design.
As the only event in France of this scale, they return this November for the 40th edition celebrating their 20th anniversary under a new name: Design Fair Paris x Les Puces du Design.
More than being an exceptional meeting of antique dealers, specialists in fashion and furniture of the 20th century and contemporary design, each edition of the Fair is accompanied by an event.
Go along to their anniversary edition and rendezvous with the icons of the past from Paulin to Jacobsen, from Starck to Mouille, but also the many contemporary designs that will no doubt become the collector’s pieces of the future.
