Our latest project INDIGO is the winner of the 1&20 Newcomer Competition of the GermanDesignCouncil.

It’s about an acoustic structure that brings the blue sky to the inside with 100% organic materials. Indigo is an acoustic space structure that maps Taiwan’s cultural treasures. Studio Flær’s design is a tribute to the cultural heritage that has emerged in everyday objects.

Local patterns, traditions, and customs are translated into sound-absorbing panels of 100 percent organic banana and mulberry fibers.

The indigo plant gives the panels their color and brings the blue sky inside. Bamboo forms the simple framing that turns the structure into a featherweight.
