The PurityCapsule is a device designed to cleanse daily accessories, eliminating 99.99% of viral and bacterial strains in only 30 seconds thanks to UVC technology.
In March 2020, while the Covid19 lockdown took over Italy, Slamp, producer of quality handcrafted illumination since 1994, led their Research and Development team into a new creative frontier: the PurityCapsule.
Scientific studies published in the Virology Journal showed that Covid19 can survive on surfaces for up to 28 days; it favors plastic, metal, paper, and glass, materials that make up the accessories we use every day.

Slamp commissioned the Department of Molecular and Developmental Medicine of the Università degli Studi di Siena to conduct laboratory tests and certify that the PurityCapsule eliminates the Sars-Cov2 and the most resistant bacterias strains, including Staphilococco Aereus, Klebisella, Legionella, and Escherichia Coli (all on the WHO’s Global List of the most dangerous bacteria worldwide).
The disinfection cycle lasts only 30 seconds, rapidly eliminating 99.99% of viral and bacterial strains from objects you use every day, including keys, wallets, glasses, cell phones, jewelry, face masks, children’s toys, and other accessories that may come in contact with the Coronavirus and other infectious strains.

The PurityCapsule is quick from cycle to cycle, and never puts any material placed within at risk of damage. There are stress tests that span 15 years of use as proof of device security.
The PURITYCAPSULE’s most important innovation is the patented semi-transparent dome, treated with a metallised, protective finish that reveals a blue glow while shielding the naked eye from photobiological risks (certified by The Department of Molecular and Developmental Medicine of the Università degli Studi di Siena).

There are mirrored coral arms, matching the rest of the lamp’s interior, within the PurityCapsule that hold personal objects.
The base (and matching handle) is available in either black or white, and features a courtesy light independent of the cycle bulb that casts a decorative glow on the surface below. The device’s security system shuts down the UV-C source the moment the capsule is disturbed or the dome is lifted, eliminating any risk of eye or skin exposure.
We need to transform our houses to create more healthy and pleasant environments: biophilic design is the answer.
