The Weather Poster, a poster that knows the weather

Our updating daily weather poster is the first updating paper poster. It’s a screen printed poster which uses smart ink, circuity and a tiny internet connected computer to reflect the day’s changing weather.

As the weather forecast changes, so does the ink on the paper.

Our underlying goal is to find less intrusive ways to express the internet and changing information, ways which have more in common with art and design and that don’t use screens.

The Weather Poster takes a fraction of a second to check as you go through your day, doesn’t need anything from you to do its job, and doesn’t risk lengthy distractions from social media like checking the weather on your phone might.

Smart ink has been around for a while, but it has never really made it past novelty beer/wine packaging, our new technology allows a chip/tiny computer to interface with smart ink.
