The Final Jury has selected the winners of the iF Design Award 2025
In the final judging round, a record 102 design experts from 23 nations gathered to select the winners, including this year’s 75 prestigious gold winners.
The judging process for the iF DESIGN AWARD 2025 revolved around five essential criteria: idea, form, function, differentiation, and sustainability. Over three dynamic days at Schuppen 52 in Hamburg, experts meticulously reviewed the finalists. This stage followed the Online Preselection in December, where nearly 11,000 entries were evaluated, with only the top 50 percent progressing to the Final Jury round.
Products, projects and concepts in nine different disciplines could enter the iF DESIGN AWARD 2025: Product, Communication, Packaging and Service Design, Architecture and Interior Design, User Experience (UX), User Interface (UI) and Professional Concept.
A celebration of future perspectives
Just like in past years, every entry underwent thorough evaluation and lively discussion. Each product and project was carefully examined by a panel of three design experts. A notable highlight was the seamless collaboration between the jurors and the iF Sustainability Working Group, ensuring that ecological and social sustainability played a central role in the decision-making process. This partnership allowed for a more informed and comprehensive evaluation of each submission.

On April 28, the grand stage of Berlin’s renowned Friedrichstadt-Palast will host 2,000 guests, gathering to honor the outstanding winners of this year’s prestigious award. At the heart of the evening, the 75 iF DESIGN AWARD 2025 Gold winners will take the spotlight as they receive their coveted gold sculptures from iF Design CEO Uwe Cremering—a moment that symbolizes the pinnacle of design excellence.
The following day, on April 29, the conversation shifts from celebration to exploration at the iF Design Trend Conference 2025 at AXICA, an architectural marvel near the Brandenburg Gate. Under the theme “How can design help shape the transformation to a future worth living?”, this conference will bring together designers and industry leaders for an engaging exchange on global and interdisciplinary design trends. Internationally renowned speakers will provide insights into how design can drive meaningful change.
