International architecture firm Aedas was founded in 1985 by Keith Griffiths in Hong Kong, China. With a focus on high-density developments in major world cities, Aedas has over 1,400 staff members in 13 offices in Asia, Europe, Middle East and USA. The firm specialise in large-scale developments, infrastructure, mixed commercial and residential projects.
Projects
HEARTLAND 66 - The design concept, referred to as the "infinite loop," draws inspiration from the Chinese art of knot tying, which carries symbolic connotations of fortune and well-wishes. In the Heartland 66 project's design, various elements such as retail blocks, F&B terraces, a sunken plaza, and landscaping on both the east and west sides are interconnected through a series of knots. These knots are intricately tied and integrated with a jade ornament, serving as a thoughtful response to the site's circulation patterns influenced by the presence of a bisecting road.
HUA CENTRE PHASE II MIXED-USE PROJECT - Situated at the vibrant crossroads of Jiefang West Road, Taiping Street, and Pozi Street, the Hua Centre Phase II Project is strategically positioned within one of Changsha's most fashionable leisure and tourist hubs. Drawing inspiration from the city's natural features, including mountains, waterways, islands, and urban elements, the iconic architectural design is intricately linked to the distinctive landscape of Zhangjiajie, a UNESCO World Heritage site located in Hunan province.
SHENZHEN BAO'AN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT SATELLITE CONCOURSE - The Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport Satellite Concourse, a collaborative effort between GDAD, Aedas, and Landrum & Brown, commenced its official operations in December 2021. Positioned directly to the north of the preexisting Terminal 3 structure, this development marks a significant milestone in the expansion initiative of one of South China's paramount aviation hubs.
