Masaya was established in 2016 as a distinct expression of artistry and craftsmanship. While its mother brand focuses on large-scale bronze garden and home décor, Masaya is dedicated exclusively to brass furniture for interior spaces. Built on over 30 years of expertise, the brand draws from a deep knowledge of brass craftsmanship and a strong commitment to traditional techniques.
Each piece is entirely handcrafted, from the initial sculpted form to the final polished finish. At the core of Masaya’s identity is the lost-wax casting method — a centuries-old technique that allows the creation of organic forms, fluid curves, and finely detailed surfaces.
Projects
Masaya partnered with Surround Living, a Bangkok-based platform for home furniture, décor, and antiques, on a special project for their pop-up at ICONSIAM’s ICONCRAFT, celebrating locally crafted pieces. For the occasion, Masaya curated a selection of its best-selling designs and developed a custom patina created exclusively for the pop-up presentation.
The brand reinterpreted its original Best Friend Bench, transforming the design into a stool to offer greater practicality and ease of use.
Masaya collaborated with Thaniya, a well-known ceramics manufacturer and brand in Thailand, under an initiative by the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP). The project explored the dialogue between brass craftsmanship and Thaniya’s distinctive ceramic patterns. Molten brass was poured over pre-arranged fragments of broken ceramics, allowing the metal to flow naturally into place. The process results in unique, unrepeatable pieces — celebrating the beauty of imperfection and material experimentation.
Originally crafted as a side table from antique wood, Memory has been reinterpreted in brass while preserving its original marks and indentations, symbolizing past experiences. The transparent acrylic top represents the unwritten future—moments yet to come that will eventually become memories.
