An essential gathering for global participants in the furniture design industry
During the 8-day exhibition, the 53rd CIFF Guangzhou, recognized as the foremost and most comprehensive platform for business and product exploration in the furniture industry, will unite manufacturers, designers, buyers, traders, experts, and media representatives from across the globe
Distinguished by the overarching theme “Design Trend, Global Trade, and Full Supply Chain,” CIFF Guangzhou is an increasingly advanced trade show that plays a fundamental role in the global industry. It serves both to promote design and innovation and to facilitate international trade of “Made in China” furniture, ensuring privileged access for international brands to the vast Chinese market.
The platform is increasingly focused on integrating offline and online promotion to optimize and enhance the trade show’s offerings. It offers the opportunity to discover partners, products, and solutions tailored to diverse needs among the 4,000 exhibitors present simultaneously at the Canton Fair Complex in Guangzhou Pazhou.
Additionally, it actively facilitates highly effective business matching between international visitors and exhibitors, carefully selected by CIFF Guangzhou based on specific requirements, both in person during the fair and online throughout the year.
The 53rd CIFF Guangzhou 2024 (here more info about the 2023 edition) will take place in two phases organized by product sectors, introducing a new exhibition layout to optimize space management, further expanded to 830,000 square meters, to meet the needs of the expected 380,000 visitors.
The first phase, from March 18 to 21, 2024, focuses on home furnishings.
Within the Home Furniture sector, substantial attention will be given to the Design theme, with 5 pavilions in Area A of the Canton Fair Complex showcasing the latest trends in home furnishing, attracting interior designers, distributors, and procurement professionals from both China and internationally.
In 8 pavilions in Area B, the theme of Sofa & Bed will be explored, featuring prominent brands sought after by international buyers for their production, OEM/ODM services, and “one-stop” solutions. The Dining & Living sector will feature 600 exhibitors occupying 150,000 square meters and 17 pavilions in Areas C and E (PWTC Expo), catering particularly to the demands of international buyers.
The Homedecor & Hometextile sector, with its 700 exhibitors and 85,000 square meters of exhibition space, is the largest exhibition in Asia dedicated to interior decoration and home textiles. It will be relocated to 8 new pavilions in Area D, ready to welcome international traders, retailers, designers, and decorators in search of home accessories, decorative lighting, ceramics, glassware, paintings and illustrations, home textiles, curtains, carpets, bed linen, cushions, and more.
The Outdoor Furniture, Sunshade, and Leisure sector, the largest and most professional event of its kind in Asia for outdoor furniture such as garden tables, chairs, and sunshades, as well as leisure equipment and decorations primarily geared toward export, will feature 300 exhibitors occupying 5 pavilions in Area B.
The second phase, from March 28 to 31, 2024, will highlight the Office and Commercial Space.
The world’s largest exhibition dedicated to office furniture and commercial design, with over 1,000 exhibitors and 240,000 square meters of exhibition space. It will showcase systems and seating for workspaces, trends and solutions for smart offices, public spaces, educational facilities, and commercial establishments, as well as furniture for healthcare and the needs of the elderly.
These will be displayed in the 8 new pavilions in Area D, all 13 pavilions in Area A, and 3 pavilions in Area B to meet the interests and requirements of designers, international trade professionals, and contractors. Simultaneously, CIFM/interzum Guangzhou 2024 will host over 1,400 Chinese and international brands in 24 pavilions in Areas B and C, presenting the most innovative technologies, machinery, materials, surfaces, and components essential for the increasingly innovative and intelligent development of the furniture industry for international manufacturers and traders.
Numerous thematic events, including design exhibitions, seminars, and conferences, will enrich the fair with culturally rich content, providing insightful insights, opportunities for discussion, and valuable inspiration and reflection.
These include the CMF Trend Lab, where over 100 institutions, designers, and design brands will showcase over 500 items to demonstrate how sustainable and high-quality development is determined by material usage. The D2M Lab will feature 100 chairs designed by 100 Chinese designers.
The Firefly Museum Children’s Space integrates architecture, education, interior design, art, and design with childhood imagination to improve children’s living environments. The China Smart Sleep Exhibition brings together various expertise to promote intelligent sleep. The Global Garden Life Festival, with Denmark as the guest of honor, aims to reconnect people with outdoor spaces and nature.
The Office Environment Theme Pavilion will present 5 independent spaces: Greenery Garden, Back in Time, Matrix World, Colorful, and Think Zone, offering visitors a new perspective through the combination of spaces, furniture, colors, and art objects.
A significant new feature this year is the InterBiz Club, a project aimed at making visits to the fair more convenient and offering additional services to international buyers. This includes expedited entry to the exhibition complex and main events during the 8 days of the fair, access to VIP lounges for meetings with clients, rest, and refreshments, suitable accommodation solutions, and free transportation services.
Additionally, there will be participation in commercial events and dedicated B2B meetings, both during the fair and online throughout the year. There will even be the opportunity to win flights, accommodations, meals, and transportation through promotional campaigns organized during certain international events, announcements of which will be made through social channels and the CIFF website.
To facilitate and strengthen the relationship between exhibitors and visitors, CIFF will organize visits to selected company factories based on buyer requests. This service, which also includes transportation, accommodation, meals, and interpreter services, will be available both in March during CIFF and throughout the year upon request through the contacts available on the website.
The organizational machinery of the 53rd CIFF Guangzhou has long been in motion, with the exhibition already fully booked by exhibitors and free preregistrations, as well as essential information available on the website to plan your trip to Guangzhou in advance.
