Established in Munich in 2014, Relvãokellermann specializes in industrial design, spatial design, art direction, and consultancy. Notable collaborations include partnering with Bulthaup Design and Engineering to create the Bulthaup Solitaires, showcased at the 2014 Salone del Mobile in Milan.
Additionally, for furniture manufacturer COR, Relvãokellermann designed the innovative “Chart” separation and storage element for the experimental sublabel “COR Lab.” Collaborating with Samsung, they developed the acclaimed Infinite Line Oven, a comprehensive range of built-in ovens launched as a flagship line in Europe.
Since 2018, Ana Relvão and Gerhardt Kellermann have served as Art Directors for gumpo, an office furniture manufacturer, where they spearheaded the development of the “Normcore” collection. Relvãokellermann’s diverse client portfolio also includes esteemed brands such as Auerberg, Gaggenau, Griffwerk, Holzrausch, Huawei, L&Z Elements, LIGRE, and Schönbuch.
Projects
FÖPPL COLLECTION – The Föppl Collection stands in contrast to the current trend of intricate and elaborate furniture. Instead, it embraces simplicity by utilizing carefully chosen wood, meticulously calibrated into precise planks and shaped into comfortable, uncomplicated geometries. Each piece is further refined through hand finishes, which range from raw wood to lacquered surfaces, and even carbonization using fire, adding an additional level of sophistication to the collection.
PIPO – Pipo is a versatile table crafted from state-of-the-art wood materials, engineered to accommodate additional power supply options. Its design embodies a duality, blending minimalist aesthetics with a robust structure that brings a sense of calmness to both office environments and residential settings.
AUERBERG/AEKI – The AEKI footstool is a multifunctional piece, serving as a side table, footstool, and even a bedside table. However, it transcends its utilitarian purposes to become a captivating artistic sculpture, resembling a three-dimensional letter when viewed from different angles.
AUERBERG - LITTLE BROTHER – Petra Goldmann, Manager of the cultural program at the Corbusier-House in Berlin, purchased the AEKI stool from Relvāokellermann one year ago. Recently, she required a smaller stool, leading Gerhardt Kellermann, the designer of AEKI, to create "Little Brother". With similar width to AEKI but slightly stronger proportions, "Little Brother" emerged as a distinctive stool suitable for both children and adults, serving as a versatile seating and standing option.
BOOKMARK PEN – Relvāokellermann took the archetype of a pen and transposed it into a particular environment. They envisioned placing the pen inside a notebook and closing it, resulting in the flattening of the pen. Through this design approach, individuals are provided with visual cues that effortlessly convey the dual purposes of the object: marking and writing—addressing the two primary needs associated with handling a notebook.
BULTHAUP – The Bulthaup Solitaires feature an open design on all sides, allowing owners to customize them with functional elements according to their preferences, thus crafting their own unique masterpiece. These functional elements are designed to be accessible and utilized from any direction, enhancing both versatility and practicality.
CHART – Chart is COR's inaugural room divider, prompting Relvāokellermann designers to explore the manufactory's unique production capabilities. Their emphasis on quality wood processing and customization drove their design work for the COR Lab.
DITO WORKBENCH – Drawing inspiration from the successful dito conference table introduced in 2018, the dito workbench follows a similar concept, featuring a straightforward arrangement of tops, trestles, and wooden crossbars. With a wide array of widths and depths available, the dito workbench offers an impressive selection of workstations to suit diverse needs. The design prioritizes essential functions of a contemporary desk, providing seamless cable management through the trestles into the central cable tray, ensuring a clutter-free workspace.
INFINITE LINE DUAL COOK OVEN – Samsung collaborated with Relvāokellermann to develop Samsung's latest main line built-in oven. The Infinite Line Dual Cook Oven is specifically designed to seamlessly integrate into furniture while providing an outstanding user experience simultaneously.
PONY – Flexibility is essential in office furniture design, enabling adaptation to changing environments. The focus is on creating products that embody openness and versatility, accommodating various functions and interpretations while fostering meaningful design.
