YET is an interdisciplinary design studio based between Istanbul and London, founded in 2019 with a mission to craft timeless and functional environments. The studio takes a holistic approach to the design process, encompassing interior architecture, product and furniture design, graphic design, and consultancy.

Driven by the belief that exceptional design seamlessly merges beauty and functionality, YET operates as a dynamic and collaborative team. Drawing inspiration from diverse disciplines, the studio strives to innovate and challenge conventional norms in the products and spaces it creates.

YET’s extensive experience is complemented by a flexible and innovative mindset, uncovering new possibilities in every project. From offices and playgrounds to publications and furniture, the studio focuses on engaging the senses, evoking emotions, and fostering meaningful interactions with surroundings.

The name YET reflects the studio’s philosophy of embracing the incompleteness of the design process, viewing each project as a continuous journey rather than a final destination. By celebrating the beauty of the unfinished, the studio refines and enhances its creations over time. Central to this philosophy is an honest aesthetic, combining simple geometric shapes with a playful sensibility to create powerful and beautiful designs.

Projects

RIPPLE ARMCHAIR – Yet Design’s furniture embodies an aesthetic of honesty, highlighting the power and beauty of simple geometric shapes. Their timeless pieces blend sculptural forms, the material's natural imperfections, and traditional craftsmanship. This design nightstand stands out with its distinctive iconic foot style and features two drawers equipped with a Blum push-to-open mechanism. Handcrafted by local artisans using natural methods, it is recommended to push on the center of the drawers for optimal use of the push-to-open mechanism.
MONO – The Mono side table features a thin rectangular top that rests gracefully on a thick stone pedestal, giving it a floating appearance. Its slim silhouette, elegant proportions, and striking texture make it a versatile piece suitable for nearly any setting. Travertine, chosen for its durability and smooth finish, adds to the table's appeal with its natural variations in texture and color.
MOLA – Crafted from solid oak veneer, this piece serves as both a side table and a nightstand. Its body includes a chamber designed to hold newspapers and magazines, adding a versatile function. The table showcases the texture, warmth, and natural beauty of wood in the most effective way. Due to the unique characteristics of each tree, every product will have distinct textures, vein structures, patterns, and tones, reflecting the wood's natural authenticity. Handcrafted by local artisans using traditional methods, it embodies the essence of natural craftsmanship.
LEGO BENCH – The Lego Bench lives up to its name with its blocky feet, giving it an anthropomorphic feel. Not only sculptural, it is also practical, featuring a storage chamber at one end for magazines and books. The Lego Bench adds an eye-catching character to any space with its playful and sculptural form, transforming into an art object in its own right. Both sides of the bench are distinctive: one side features lines, while the other is calm and simple. You can choose whichever side suits your preference.
TOMBUL – This nightstand stands out with its distinctive iconic foot style and features two drawers equipped with Blum-branded push-to-open mechanisms. Handcrafted by local artisans using natural methods, it exemplifies the perfect fusion of form and function.
APEX – "Apex" is a tribute to the power of form and void, narrating a journey of ascent from base to zenith. It begins with two horizontal lines and a gap between them, marking the starting point of its story. Two vertical lines intersect at the center, sculpting its core with a clear purpose—to elevate. Within this structure, three rectangular masses fill the gaps like monuments, anchoring the lines to the ground. "Apex" captures the essence of rising above, serving as a tangible representation of aspiration materialized in lines and masses. It stands as a statement and declaration that, in the world of design, just as in life, there is always an apex to reach.
DASH – Inspired by the bold spirit of Constructivism, “Dash” reimagines the hanger as a work of art. Each facet of its form is precisely crafted, composing a symphony of angles and curves. From every perspective, it reveals a new silhouette, an artistic expression demanding attention. As you hang your belongings, remember it’s a living canvas for your daily essentials. More than a hanger, it is a sculpture that adapts to your world.
TWIST – Twist, available in striking color options, seamlessly combines the functions of a side table and a stool. Its unique design, featuring a wooden table that wraps around a metal foot, allows you to find your own balance while using it. This movement adds an element of fun, making it enjoyable to work or chat with friends. Twist promises not just functionality but also an engaging experience in any space.
PILLAR STOOL – The Pillar bar stool features a unique design highlighted by a distinctive metal fusion detail. Its sturdy structure makes it perfect for use at bars or countertops. Crafted from natural materials, each stool boasts its own unique texture and tone, ensuring that no two are alike. Meticulously handcrafted by local artisans using traditional methods, the Pillar bar stool is a true standout piece.
SLIT – It elevates the 'Off_Grid' concept by disrupting the alignment of wooden slats on three vertical levels, crowned with a fused glass tabletop to make an avant-garde visual statement. The design process of Slit begins with two lines, represented by mid-level wooden slats, which are then slit in the center into two pieces each. These pieces are secured by metal cubes, serving as anchor points. The upper and lower level slats move in opposite directions, creating an exciting motion around the mid-level slats. Slit captures the essence of rebellion in a dynamic and balanced form.
