Outstanding designs and the prestigious gathering of design luminaries
The SIT Furniture Design Award celebrated visionary designers in furniture and interior design at KKL Luzern, Switzerland.
The SIT Furniture Design Award, an esteemed celebration of innovation and excellence in the world of furniture design, as well as those who incorporate furniture into their projects, took place at the iconic KKL Luzern in Switzerland on November 18th.
This gala event, set against the stunning architectural backdrop of KKL Luzern, served as a platform to honor the industry’s top talents and their significant contributions. The evening commenced with an inspiring opening speech delivered by Dominic Sturm, the President of the Swiss Design Association (SDA), establishing the mood for an evening dedicated to recognition and celebration.
The event boasted a diverse and distinguished list of attendees, representing the global design community’s richness and excellence.
Hossein Farmani, Co-Founder of 3C Awards, shared his excitement at the gala awards:

Among the notable professionals present were Kateryna Churina of Churina Design, Vincenzo Vinci of Vinci Design Studio, Vasil Velchev, Marcos Duailibe of Mc+ Arquitetos, and Cameron Smith of FurnitureSmith.
In addition, students from leading design universities, including the University of Stuttgart, UDIT – Universidad de Diseño, Innovación y Tecnología, MIT Institute of Design, Artcenter Design of College, GeorgiaTech, Universidad Iberoamericana Ciudad De México, and more, added to the event’s vibrancy.
The designers awardee “Design of the Year 2023” included:
- Innovation of the Year : “M3 Performance® Mattress” by BEDGEAR®
- Interior Design of the Year: “Muskoka Cottage” by Studio Paolo Ferrari
- Furniture Design of the Year: “Typology Ribbon Bench” by Designworks for Landscape Forms
- Emerging Furniture Designer of the Year: “Daejo” by Tom Man
- Emerging Interior Designer of the Year: “Soul Cave – Patagonia” by Tony Wu
The event was hosted by Astrid Hebert and Hossein Farmani, who co-founded the 3C Awards. The trophies were presented by Charles O. Job, a renowned Designer & Architect and a member of the SIT Award Jury.
Charles, with his educational background from Oxford Brookes University and a wealth of experience in global architecture firms, is widely recognized for his dedication to simplicity in research, temporary architecture, and furniture design.
Astrid Hebert, Co-Founder of 3C Awards, shared her thoughts on the successful night:

After the awards ceremonies, participants enjoyed a lavish cocktail dinner reception, providing a wonderful opportunity for industry experts to network, exchange ideas, and immerse themselves in their shared enthusiasm for innovation and creative expression.
