Intended for residential, workplace or hospitality settings, the sofa is made up of three modules:
- an end module
- a straight module
- and a curved module
Each module consists of an upholstered seat and internal structure, which includes an iron base and short, thin legs that resemble those of a millipede.
Together they can be used to create an infinite number of seating configurations.
Playful design, adaptable space
“Today, there is a need to create spaces adaptable to all types of projects and situations,” explains the studio.
“Concerned and aware of this need, we design a functional bench with just three modules. [With Worm, you] can set up endless combinations by playing with size, shape and colour.”
“We got the inspiration when we remembered exploring as children the funny shape of millipede worms.
The idea of designing the first system for Missana came up suddenly as being fascinated by the shape of these worms and by the way they are able to bend and scroll in that stylish technique.”
