The Laurent collection by Lambert & Fils Studio combines the classic Bauhaus milk globe with a series of sculptural forms that carve through space, moving between line, surface, and volume. The different models combine in endless patterns to inhabit any space with subtlety and quiet power.
The core connection between the circle and sphere within the milk globe is elegantly captured in the project. Accompanying these Laurent collection globes are a sequence of delicate shapes that gracefully navigate through the air, transitioning between lines, surfaces, and three-dimensional forms.
These elements harmoniously blend to create infinite arrangements, enabling a collection of Laurent lamps to gracefully occupy any environment with understated yet commanding presence.
“Our research focused on the surface and the form. Here, the globe acts as the link between the two” says Samuel Lambert, the studio’s founder, and creative director.
In keeping with its commitment to working with local, skilled trades, the team called upon the expertise of a Quebec glass blower to craft this latest lighting collection. As with all Lambert & Fils collections, Laurent is designed, manufactured and assembled locally.
Thus, the Laurent Collection isn’t just a collection of lamps; it’s a narrative woven in light and form, a testament to the intricate interplay of geometry and design. As if choreographed by design, the dance between these elemental shapes evokes a sense of timeless elegance.
