VGnewtrend’s Flower Power chandelier celebrates nature’s beauty

The Luxury furniture brand’s unique lighting concept is a modular and customisable chandelier series with life-like florals inspired by the changing seasons.

VG has made a name for itself creating one-of-a-kind lighting and furniture designs with the power to transform space into a real multi-sensory experience. Since 1991, the Italian company has supplied hospitality and residential spaces with designs capable of transporting people to another place thanks to its mastery of materials and a history enriched with artisanal craftsmanship. Together, this has proved a winning combination informing its collection of unique objects for hotels and resorts, bars, restaurants, spas and private villas.

Beyond purely decorative items, VGnewtrend’s collection is intended to empower interior designers to create an all-round mood “where furniture, sophisticated lighting, upholstery and accessories live together in a magical setting”. At the center of this offering is its Flower Power, a dreamy combination of upside-down florals and glass cylinders that draw inspiration from the Art Deco taste of the early 1900s. Available in various combinations and styles, the concept is a unique spin on the floral chandelier, which the Italian brand describes as an ‘enchanting awakening of nature featuring bright colours and delicate nuances.’

The modular system features a condensed block of artificial flowers and foliage held in place between lamps crafted from Murano glass—consider it one of VG’s signature materials (after all, the company’s origins are in Treviso, which is a stone’s throw away from Venice). Crafted into an almost limitless amount of shapes and textures, these jewels house LED lights that illuminate the surrounding flowers, the internal structure of which is reinforced by aluminum supports. This helps reproduce their living shape whilst permitting enough elasticity for them to sway slightly in the wind.

Designed for both residential and contract spaces, the ornamental chandelier works as a decorative centerpiece and an efficient light source. Current styles include Lotus and Phalaenopsis flowers, Ivy, Poppies, Magnolias and Anthuriums. Delicate pink, vibrant red, warm orange, and bright yellow petals form alluring bouquets suspended from champagne-finished metal round plates, which can either be recessed or flush-mounted on the ceiling to taste.

The key here is customisation—everything from the base size to the type of flowers, the number of lamps and their shape. It enables users to realise their own vision, whether that be a pastel-coloured, table-length arrangement for spring-inspired interiors or a single chandelier for a cosy, romantic setting.

Also inspired by nature, the Scandinavian brand Vestre presented its latest collection Habitats through an immersive ‘utopia of biodiversity’.

VG’s Flower Power concept can also be tailored to suit more commercial settings like Audi’s E-Tron Energy Bar, a luxury lounge at the heart of the Swiss Alps. Its focal point is a series of Flower Power Lotus chandeliers, which feature clusters of crystal egg pendants wrapped in vine leaves as a symbol of the brand’s commitment to sustainable technology and natural inspirations.

Flower Power is a chandelier ready to accompany every occasion, from anniversaries to weddings and every other milestone celebration, which is why VGnewtrend has unveiled many iterations over the years. They include a special holiday edition, the Flower Power Poinsettia, which decorates crystal cylinders with the plant’s characteristic red and green hues, and one of our personal favourites, the Flower Power Tulip, an “ode to spring” combining these perennial blooms with textured pipes with striking effect.

Where sustainable luxury meets nature

The Flower Power concept captures perfectly the charm of flora and fauna with a sustainable and biophilic modular design inspired by nature. Moreover, VG has tested and patented a series of surfaces, made of two tempered glasses including a layer of real wood; thus highlighting its natural veining.

Meanwhile, glass surfaces that are available in several dimensions and shapes can be matched with top-quality types of wood carefully selected from areas where deforestation is strictly weighed. The resulting effect is something fantastical, where vertical gardens bring the beauty of the changing seasons inside.
