Cleverly reinventing the use of recycled plastic in furniture design

Presented at Milan Design Week 2022 – Delo crafts Rechair in collaboration with Eburet Studio, a company specializing in recycling and reusing of plastic.

Moving towards a more conscious eco-friendly process of production and presented at Milan Design Week 2022 – Russia-based design studio Delo skillfully crafts ‘Rechair’ in collaboration with Eburet Studio, a company specializing in the recycling and reusing of plastic.

Finding new solutions in terms of sustainability as well as furniture design – “the work with plastic simply requires a fresh new gaze and we treat this material, usually associated with waste, as a resource comparable with wood or metal.

Our aim is to fabricate technologically advanced objects which can be mass produced, with the least damage to the environment rather than separate items of conceptual thought” says Delo.

Innovatively consisting of two minimalistic parts in soothing muted hues – Rechair comprises a comfortable seat and a metal frame which is seamlessly connected with the help of bolts as well as a hex key.

With the printer created by Eburet Studio – its seating is brilliantly 3D-printed from the waste of yogurt cup’s production and this technology enables the creation of complex forms from reliable durable material.

The pre-assembled construction and the possibility to effortlessly stack this one-of-a-kind product additionally eases the process of delivery as well as makes it convenient for storage.
“A limited edition, the first Rechair was light gray in color and we plan to extend its color palette for future production” Delo adds.
