Storet by Acerbis is a playful, spirited chest of drawers

Originally designed in 1994, the Storet chest of drawers epitomises the visionary touch of Italian designer Nanda Vigo.

Iconic designs are icons for a reason. Originally designed in 1994 by Italian artist Nanda Vigo, Storet is a ten-drawer cabinet for furniture company Acerbis that has really stood the test of time.

Its key element is decorative moulding on the front of the design, which is available in glossy lacquered burgundy, pink, dark green, mustard yellow, brick red, clay, white and black.

The original cabinet was made from a combination of cherry wood and veneered wood, which has been recently updated to reflect today’s advances in production with the walnut’s visible grain illuminating Acerbis’s modern expertise in utilising extensive wood surfaces.

The most recent design is made of medium density wood fibre with open grain brushed veneer in black ash and dark walnut finishes.

Meanwhile, the fronts are in solid wood (milled from solid) and glossy lacquered in the new remasters colours.

Unveiled during Salone del Mobile, the ten-drawer model has never gone out of production or style.

In 2020, Acerbis launched the bedside model with 4 drawers, which was originally designed in 1994 but was never put into production.

It now forms part of the Bed Side collection thanks to its bedroom-style finishes.

The current version preserves its poetic dimension and introduces contemporary elements that enable it to be versatile in the living and dining area.
