Grecian elegance makes a modern sanctuary in Archeda’s Tulle collection
Archeda’s Tulle collection redefines luxury with new finishes and a focus on creating a serene, eco-friendly space inspired by classical Greece, sustainable materials, and versatile design.
The bathroom has evolved significantly from its purely utilitarian roots. Today, it is as much a sanctuary for aesthetics as for function, designed to create a serene environment dedicated to personal well-being and relaxation. Archeda’s latest bathroom collection fully embraces this evolution called the Tulle collection—a breathtaking assortment of washbasins, furniture, and accessories.
A holistic vision of bathroom design
Archeda’s Tulle collection is not just about washbasins; it represents a holistic approach to bathroom design. The collection includes suspended furniture, countertop and built-in washbasins, and base units equipped with meticulously crafted internal accessories. These elements are designed to be both functional and visually striking, allowing for endless compositions that cater to a variety of tastes and needs.
“We believe that the bathroom should be a space where design contributes to comfort and well-being,” says Alberto Poletto, Project Manager of Archeda. “Every detail in the Tulle collection is crafted with this philosophy in mind.”
Dario Poles, the designer behind the Tulle collection, has expertly combined aesthetics with practicality. For 2024, it has been expanded to include new modules, accessories, and finishes that elevate its aesthetic appeal. Among these is a new striped wood finish, inspired by the rationalist and modernist movements of the 1930s and 1950s.
This vertical banded surface, available in both flat and dogato versions, adds a visual element to the furniture, playing with light and shadow to create a soft, flowing effect. The Bosco matte lacquer finish, combined with gold accents, is a particularly refined option that exudes a sense of luxury and sophistication.
The Tulle line’s versatility is further enhanced by the addition of the Olimpo series—a set of column wash basins that draw inspiration from classical Greek architecture. These washbasins, with their monolithic presence, are crafted from Okite®, a high-performance synthetic material that boasts through-veining similar to natural marble. This material, known for its resistance to acids, heat, and scratches, is being used in bathroom furnishings for the first time through the Olimpo series.
Olimpo: a tribute to classical elegance
The Olimpo series stands out as a centerpiece within the Tulle collection, bringing a touch of ancient grandeur to the modern bathroom. These column washbasins, available in quartz, white, and colored acrylic, are designed to evoke the architectural splendor of ancient Greece. The vertical fluting on the bases of the washbasins is a direct reference to classical Greek columns, adding a timeless elegance to the design.
“The inspiration for Olimpo comes from the classical architecture of ancient Greece, where beauty, balance, and harmony were paramount,” explains Poles. “We wanted to capture that sense of timelessness and bring it into the contemporary bathroom, creating a piece that feels both modern and enduring.”
The Olimpo wash basins are available in a variety of finishes and patterns, including stripes and Mondrian-inspired geometric designs. This allows for a high degree of customization, enabling homeowners to create a bathroom that reflects their personal style. “The Olimpo series is about more than just aesthetics,” says Alberto Poletto. “It’s about creating a space that feels both luxurious and comfortable—a place where you can truly relax and unwind.”
Archeda’s commitment to sustainability is a key aspect of the Tulle collection. The brand has long prioritized eco-friendly materials and production processes, working with local suppliers who adhere to strict Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles. This commitment is evident in the choice of materials for the Olimpo series, which includes Okite®—a quartz material derived from sustainable sources such as recycled glass.
“Sustainability is at the core of our corporate philosophy,” continues Poletto. “We aim to be a fully sustainable company, not only in terms of environmental impact but also in our social and governance practices. This is why we choose materials like Okite®, which are not only beautiful and durable but also environmentally responsible.”
The Tulle collection also incorporates water-resistant MDF, a material composed of highly recycled and durable wood, further enhancing its sustainability credentials. Archeda’s production process is designed to minimize waste, with manufacturing technologies that optimize material usage and strict recycling programs for production residues. Additionally, the company’s production facilities are powered by renewable energy sources such as photovoltaics, further reducing their carbon footprint.
“In designing the Tulle collection, we wanted to create a space where every element contributes to the overall sense of harmony and well-being,” says Poles. “It’s about more than just creating beautiful objects—it’s about creating an environment that enhances your daily life.”
The Tulle collection combines classical design elements with modern materials and sustainable practices, resulting in a collection that invites homeowners to transform their bathrooms into personal sanctuaries—spaces where they can retreat, refresh, and reconnect with themselves.
