Anvil Dust Studio is a design studio with an international presence, headquartered in Taipei. Its founders boast extensive experience in both interior and industrial design, blending perspectives from these two fields to produce innovative outcomes.
Projects
LUMINA WEBCAM – The Lumina is an AI powered webcam. The sleek and compact design features an aluminum body and magnetic lens cover and designed to fit effortlessly into a minimalist desk setup, emerging as an essential part of the modern work-from-home culture.
BOOLEAN DESK LAMP - It derives its name from its functionality – going from zero to full in one go. A cornered indirect illuminating, and interactive desk lamp for every user at home.
CTRL - Drawing inspiration from the modular structure of a keycap, Anvil Dust Studio created a seat that can be replaced with different sets, resembling the functionality of a keycap. Whether you prefer single-seated stools or long benches, the versatility allows for various configurations. Additionally, an enlarged keycap version was designed as a tribute to the source of inspiration.
EGGE – Based on the Malaysian breakfast culture, particularly the tradition of soft-boiled eggs, the studio reimagined the classic egg boiler. Acknowledging the simplicity and efficiency of the original design, egge aims to address its limitations, such as difficulty in handling hot eggs and its bulky form. Retaining the iconic yellow color scheme, the redesigned egg boiler focuses on simplifying the form while accentuating the interplay between egg white and yolk. This modern interpretation aims to seamlessly integrate into contemporary kitchens while enhancing user experience.
LUMINA DESK – An innovative in-desk display that puts all your essential apps right at your fingertips. Ideal for WFH professionals spanning various industries, this sleek desk is designed to seamlessly integrate into your workspace, offering a customized setup tailored to your individual needs. With its always-on, ambient display, the Lumina Desk provides passive information feed to keep you informed while you work. Plus, it boasts wireless charging capabilities, ensuring that all your wireless charging-enabled devices stay powered up throughout the day, no matter where you place them on the desk.
REINDEER NIGHT LAMP – A night light with customizable lighting options—simply press the nose to toggle on/off and rotate for brightness and color adjustment. Ideal for various settings, including as a breastfeeding or night light for children. It features a memory function and auto power-off settings from 5 to 60 minutes for healthy sleep environments. Lightweight and USB rechargeable, it offers up to 24 hours of use on low light and 4 hours on maximum brightness. Crafted from food-grade silicone, it's safe for children, providing stress relief and tactile engagement.
