The LAYER studio, situated in East London, is the place where we transform your concepts into reality. Our well-equipped workshop boasts an array of tools, including 3D printers, laser cutters, industrial sewing machines, and extensive material resources. Additionally, we have designated areas for research and development, cutting-edge technology for producing captivating visuals, and collaborative spaces where we weave compelling design narratives.

Our team comprises professionals hailing from diverse backgrounds, such as industrial and digital design, engineering, strategy, and branding expertise, drawn from around the globe. We foster interdisciplinary collaboration to craft comprehensive experiences. Empowered by our distinct viewpoints, we uncover fresh perspectives on the world and unearth behavioral insights that fuel our human-centered approach.

Benjamin Hubert serves as the founder and Creative Director. In 2015, he founded LAYER to embody the studio’s multifaceted design philosophy and expanding network of creative collaborators. Guiding a team of 30 talented individuals, he maintains a deeply rooted involvement in shaping the studio’s creative endeavors.

Technology keeps evolving but voice assistants and digital companions like Siri, Alexa and Google still feel cold, unrelatable and ironically enough, unhuman. To combat this, creative design studio LAYER, which was founded by industrial designer Benjamin Hubert in 2015, has created a voice assistant capable of expressing sadness and joy.

Bringing a new air of fun and sustainability to dog products – design agency Layer led by Benjamin Hubert creates canine-friendly branding for Canada-based Earth Rated from sustainable packaging to products.

Seamlessly exploring the intersection between home, wellness and technology – Benjamin Hubert’s London-based creative agency LAYER and Panasonic innovatively launch Balance of Being, a collection of six eclectic near-future conceptual smart devices. From an LED light treatment for hair to two skin care devices, a smart head massager, a skin analysis device that doubles up as a smoothie maker and a smart cooking appliance – it features the minimalistic products Grow, Tone, Wave, Shot and Lift bringing to life a new philosophy and enhancing one’s wellbeing.
