Promoting circular economy with this revolutionary sustainable material
A biodegradable and fully recyclable leather alternative based on harvest waste from hemp cultivation – Revoltech fabricates a groundbreaking material LOVR.
Transforming the way materials are made and seamlessly turning them into something new with a vision of a sustainable circular economy, Germany-based Revoltech fabricates a groundbreaking material ‘LOVR’ – a biodegradable and fully recyclable leather alternative based on harvest waste from hemp cultivation.
They brilliantly developed an innovative process to craft a leather-like material from a wide range of fibrous agricultural residues – with no fossil fuels, plastic or harmful chemicals.
The first of its kind and compared to conventional leather, less than 1% of carbon emissions are needed for its manufacturing.
“This journey of LOVR started on a field, more specifically with a hemp plant – grown for CBD products, we utilize the crop waste as its base.
Our trusted agricultural partners supply us with their by-products” says founders Lucas Fuhrmann, Montgomery Wagner and Julian Mushövel.
Free from global supply chains as well as full of appreciation for people, materials and nature – this is how this extraordinary material skillfully promotes a transparent circular economy.
Available in various thicknesses, colors and finishings – the technology behind it was designed to produce the material in a continuous process and ensures a purely natural object with a leather-like look, feel and robustness.
“Durable and long-lasting – LOVR is the starting point for a range of new sustainable products in the fashion, furniture as well as automotive industries” they add.
