The winners of the 2024 Architecture Hunter Awards (AHA) have been announced, celebrating exceptional achievements in architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, and more. This prestigious international distinction recognizes projects that push the boundaries of creativity, sustainability, and purposeful design, highlighting their profound impact on the built environment.

With diverse categories, the AHA honored works that excel not only in aesthetic appeal but also in functional innovation and environmental stewardship. Since its inception, Architecture Hunter has established itself as a leading global platform for architectural inspiration, reaching an audience of over 3 million people worldwide. The inaugural edition of the AHA reflects the platform’s commitment to fostering connections within the architectural community and shining a spotlight on projects that shape a better future.

Architecture excellence

The Architecture category celebrated a remarkable variety of winners, each demonstrating excellence in their respective fields. In the Residential & House category, Casa GAK by Bernardes Arquitetura was honored for its refined approach to residential design. The Office Architecture award was claimed by Zaha Hadid Architects for Beeah Headquarters, a groundbreaking project that embodies innovation and forward-thinking principles. The Small Architecture category highlighted the ingenuity of The Infinite Rise by Earthscape Studio, showcasing the potential of compact structures to leave a significant impact. Spasm Design’s Sarvasva took the top prize in the High-Rise Building category, recognized for its commanding presence and detailed craftsmanship.

In the realm of commercial architecture, Toaru Hair Room by Ateliers Takahito Sekiguchi was awarded for its seamless blend of modern aesthetics and functionality. Double B Hostel by VMA Design Studio excelled in the Hospitality & Hotel category with its inviting and contemporary design. Brenac & Gonzalez & Associés’ Higher Roch emerged as the winner in the Mixed-Use Building category, while Itaúna House by Siqueira + Azul Arquitetura earned accolades in the Renovation category for its creative transformation. The Church of the Holy Family by ARQBR Arquitetura e Urbanismo stood out in the Institutional Facilities category, recognized for its harmonious balance between spirituality and architectural excellence.

Interior Design innovations

The Interior Design category highlighted projects that seamlessly combine style and functionality across diverse settings. In the House Interior Design category, House on the Sand by Studio MK27 captivated with its serene, coastal-inspired aesthetic. Babayants Bel Corpo by Babayants Architects earned the top spot in Commercial Interior Design, celebrated for its sleek, contemporary layout and meticulous detailing.

In the Hospitality & Hotel Interior Design category, Prime Seafood Palace by Omar Gandhi Architects impressed with its harmonious blend of rustic charm and refined elegance. The Apartment Interior Design award went to Terrace Apartment by Estudio Guto Requena, recognized for its vibrant, modern appeal. Meanwhile, Le Creuset by Carlos Rossi Arquitetura stood out in the Office Interior Design category, praised for its innovative and functional approach to workspace design.

Landscape Architecture and Unbuilt Projects

The Landscape Architecture category celebrated outstanding contributions, with Hanazaki’s DSF House earning the award in Residential Landscape Architecture for its seamless integration of natural elements into residential spaces. The Unbuilt categories, dedicated to visionary concepts yet to be realized, showcased some of the year’s most groundbreaking ideas. Aether by Lina Maria Trivino was recognized in the Unbuilt Student category, while Ramia by Taller Alvarado Teles received the top honor in Unbuilt Architecture for its inspiring vision.

In Unbuilt Landscape Architecture, Intentos por São Paulo Minhocão by Julia Getschko stood out for its innovative approach, and Water Canal by Studio MK27 claimed the award in Unbuilt Interior Design for its ambitious and forward-thinking proposal.

Images and videos that capture architectural marvels

The AHA celebrates the art of visual storytelling through its Image and Video categories. In the Render category, Daxing PKX by Wellington Franzao stood out for its striking visualization. Jaisalmer School by Vinay Panjwani earned top honors in Architectural Photography, while Living with Modernity by Vaibhav Passi captured the Artistic Photo category with its evocative imagery. The Video category recognized compelling narratives, with Texoversum by 9sekunden winning the Architecture Video award. In the Short Documentary category, Amazon Carpenters by Guá Arquitetura was celebrated for showcasing the craftsmanship and human stories woven into architectural practice.

Sustainability took center stage

Reflecting the growing emphasis on sustainable design, the AHA recognized Flagship Dolce Gusto Neo by Estudio Guto Requena with the award for Sustainable Architectural Design. The project was celebrated for its innovative solutions that contribute to a more eco-conscious future, embodying the principles of sustainability in contemporary architecture.

Beyond the main awards, over 30 projects received Honorable Mentions, highlighting their exceptional qualities and diverse creative approaches. Notable mentions include Solar Trees Marketplace and Baffi Restaurante in the Commercial Architecture category, Talaga Sampireun Bali in Hospitality & Hotel, and Kaktus Towers in Architectural Photography. These projects underscore the global scope of purpose-driven design and the incredible breadth of creativity celebrated by the AHA.
