Atelier Robotiq fabricates Twilight – a breathtaking lamp utilizing aerospace lightweight engineering principles, displayed at Milan Design week 2022.

With a deep-rooted interest in craftsmanship as well as technology, Rotterdam-based Atelier Robotiq brilliantly fabricates ‘Twilight’– a breathtaking lamp utilizing aerospace lightweight engineering principles, displayed at Milan Design week 2022.

Embodying a minimalistic aesthetic and great attention to intricate detail, they aim to design products of high quality seamlessly infused with timeless beauty that users will love as well as enjoy for years.

This alluring object innovatively encompasses the transition of day into night and captures their moment of coexistence by two organic shapes skillfully merging into one another.

“When day meets night, a soft glowing light arises, blending colors of two worlds and as one wonders how a shape could have entered inside the other – they also seem to naturally coexist in perfect balance” says founders Søren Blomaard and Anne-Lise Heydra.

Utilizing the durable material Kevlar, resulted in this stunning minimalistic structure which is unimaginably light as well as strong with the largest bubble featuring a height of 64cm and a diameter of 72cm, weighing only 80 grams.

Along with comprising a minimum of lines exactly enough to represent as well as hold its shape – this extraordinary lamp’s fiber tones appear in transparent layers giving subtle hints of orange, blue and purple hues, effortlessly reflecting the dramatic twilight skies.
“Right from playing with various compositions of lines as well as colors to match the beautiful skies to experimenting with different sizes and forms merging into each other – the opportunities seemed endless” adds the duo.
