The Extans Akhal Sheen bicycle features real 24k gold accents
The limited edition, high-luxury design is the latest entry in the British design house’s line of carbon-fibre Akhal bicycles.
Inspired by high jewellery, Extans line-up of exclusive high-end luxury bicycles are limited to only 19 pieces, all of which feature a striking aesthetic of distinctive 24k gold accents and handcrafted carbon detailing.
It showcases stunning craftsmanship and beautiful design reflecting the philosophy of the Extans design house, and expresses a modern, simplistic, and elegant style, with a focus on the use of quality lightweight materials to create an instant icon.
Featuring a carbon monocoque frame in rich midnight blue, the Akhal Sheen also sports a CNC machined head, dropouts and seat clamp all from a single solid aluminium billet, and is handmade in England.
The carbon fibre helps Extans deliver a lightweight bicycle weighing in at only 9.5 kg (21 pounds).
The forged carbon bike stand features a CNC machined aluminium base and is a sculptural piece in its own right, perfectly marrying functionality with a beautifully minimal aesthetic, allowing the bike to be displayed as a piece of art when not in use.
