Uplift 2.0 creates a mesmerising, never-ending spiral that inspires you to unwind, as it gracefully turns the sun's power into a hypnotic flowing motion. The progressive new design uses waste fishing nets from the Cornish Hake Fisheries in the UK. Powered by light, Uplift 2.0 sits perfectly on a sunny window sill but also works well under an overcast sky. Its speed is tethered to a relaxing 40 revolutions per minute and will respond subtly to variations in the sun's power. The spiral can turn freely in either direction, users can interacting with the spiral using the provided magnetic wand. Uplift 2.0 is made from responsibly sourced materials, including waste fishing nets which are to form the spiral's structure, producing a stunning translucent aquamarine colour. Each unit is hand-assembled in the UK. On average, every single waste fishing net produces roughly seventy Uplift 2.0's. With over 1,000 pre-orders already taken, 100kg of recycled material will be used in the initial batch, the equivalent of fifteen fishing nets.
