What if sustainable homes could be installed on-site in just one day?

Focused on innovative and sustainable architecture, Hello Wood is a Hungarian design studio that is rewriting the history of prefabricated buildings by creating modular structures that can be installed on-site in approximately 24 hours across Europe, such as the PEBL Grand cabin.

Have you ever imagined seeing your house completed in just one day? However sensationalist or utopian this question may seem, today we invite you to discover the sculptural spaces of PEBL Grand, a design cabin created by Hello Wood, thought to be delivered fully built and ready to use in just a single day. Originally known for organizing creative camps for architecture and design students, Hello Wood has evolved into an award-winning design studio whose projects are grounded in four key principles: mobility, sustainability, speed, and experience, each reflecting the most relevant concerns of today and the core values that are shaping our future.

These are the same principles that inspired PEBL Grand, a cabin defined by its interior and futuristic, organic architecture that challenges traditional right angles. Instead, it embraces a dynamic, fluid, and comfortable space, meticulously organized down to the smallest detail.

And it is precisely this thoughtful design that allows the structure to seamlessly accommodate a king-size bed, a dining area, a kitchen, a bathroom, a terrace, and even a panoramic infrared sauna—without compromising the sense of space. Camouflaged among wild forests, standing boldly on the rooftop of an urban skyline, or resting quietly by the sea: PEBL Grand is a modular cabin designed to elevate the potential of prefabricated architecture, reimagining it through the lens of sustainability, technological innovation, and the evolving needs of modern society.

PEBL Grand is the result of an architectural journey that began four years ago, with the creation of the first prototype. The initial model was made possible by a returning, satisfied client who is open to innovative ideas — previously, he commissioned a special airplane-shaped cabin, the Jet House, as a dream project for his 12-year-old daughter. Thanks to this supported prototype development, it evolved toward an increasingly eclectic, efficient, and contemporary type of architecture; one that keeps up with the rapid evolution of both times and society.

Innovation in the PEBL Grand cabin reveals itself through two fundamental elements: one more aesthetic—which undoubtedly stands out at first glance—and one more technical, which represents the true heart of the project. The technical aspect lies in the speed with which the entire prefabricated structure can be installed. Designed with a ground screw system, preparing the site to host the PEBL Grand takes just half a day. This approach eliminates the need for concrete, an option that not only requires more time but also has a significantly higher environmental impact.

Behind the efficient and contemporary realization of this unique, sculptural structure stands Hello Wood’s proprietary construction system, submitted for patent protection. This CNC-manufactured three-dimensional shell structure combines a solid wood CLT (Cross-Laminated Timber) load-bearing core with insulating and waterproof layers. This innovation enables the creation of complex spatial forms and irregular geometries, while also reducing material waste and assembly time.

This technical and functional aspect is closely linked to a more aesthetic one: customization. The cabin’s design can be fully tailored to the client’s tastes and needs. Even the exterior cladding can be chosen from wood, stone, aluminum, or mirrored finishes, allowing the entire structure to either blend seamlessly into its natural or urban surroundings or stand out in deliberate contrast, depending on the desired effect. The cabin’s irregular geometry also allows it to be rotated and repositioned within a space, much like the pebbles we use to build balanced stacks on the beach.

Thanks to this high degree of flexibility and personalization, PEBL Grand can serve a wide range of functions. It can stand alone as a fully self-contained unit or act as a complementary structure: for example, as a space for relaxation and wellness, a creative studio, a guesthouse, or, indeed, a minimalist primary residence.

Futuristic not only in appearance but in spirit. PEBL Grand is truly offers practical solutions designed to meet real needs. An architectural experiment born as a response to a rapidly changing world, one that constantly presents new challenges, pushing us toward sustainable solutions, conscious approaches, and sudden actions.
